Dr. Sanjay Gupta is an American neurosurgeon, medical journalist, and television personality, born on October 23, 1969. He is known for his work as the chief medical correspondent for CNN and his coverage of medical news and health issues.

Gupta received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Michigan Health System. He also holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.

In addition to his work as a neurosurgeon, Gupta is known for his reporting on health and medical issues. He has reported on a wide range of topics, including the Ebola virus outbreak, the opioid crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic. He has also written several books, including “Chasing Life” and “Monday Mornings.”
