Kelsea Ballerini is an American country pop singer and songwriter. She was born on September 12, 1993 in Mascot, Tennessee, and grew up in Knoxville. Ballerini began writing songs as a child and started taking guitar lessons when she was 12 years old.

In 2014, Ballerini signed a record deal with Black River Entertainment and released her debut single, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Her debut album, “The First Time,” was released in 2015 and was certified Gold by the RIAA.

Ballerini has released several successful albums since then, including “Unapologetically” (2017), “Kelsea” (2020), and “Ballerni” (2021). She has been recognized with numerous awards, including several Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, and Billboard Music Awards.

In addition to her music career, Ballerini has also served as a coach on the singing competition show “The Voice” and has hosted the CMA Fest television special.
