Francis Ngannou is a professional mixed martial artist who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on September 5, 1986, in Cameroon.

Ngannou grew up in poverty and worked various jobs, including sand mining and as a security guard, before discovering his talent for combat sports. He began training in boxing and eventually transitioned to mixed martial arts.

Ngannou made his UFC debut in December 2015 and quickly gained attention for his knockout power and impressive physical attributes, including his massive size and strength. He has since become one of the top heavyweight fighters in the UFC and holds a record of 16 wins and 3 losses.

Ngannou’s most notable victories include knockout wins over former UFC heavyweight champions Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos, as well as a devastating knockout win over longtime contender Alistair Overeem. In March 2021, Ngannou won the UFC heavyweight title by defeating Stipe Miocic via knockout.

Outside of his fighting career, Ngannou has also been an advocate for underprivileged children in Cameroon and has worked to establish a foundation to support their education and well-being.
