Biography: Dan Crenshaw was born on March 14, 1984, in Aberdeen, Scotland, but he was raised in Texas, USA. He attended Tufts University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, and later, he earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Military Service: Dan Crenshaw served as a Navy SEAL for over a decade, including multiple deployments to combat zones in the Middle East. In 2012, he was severely wounded in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Afghanistan, resulting in the loss of his right eye and damage to his left eye.
Political Career: Crenshaw entered politics after retiring from the military. He gained national prominence when he was elected as the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 2nd congressional district as a Republican in the 2018 midterm elections. In Congress, he focused on a range of issues, including national security, veterans’ affairs, and conservative policy initiatives.
