Cory Sandhagen is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on April 20, 1992 in Aurora, Colorado, USA.
Sandhagen started his professional MMA career in 2015 and quickly established himself as a rising star in the sport. He made his UFC debut in January 2018 and has since amassed an impressive record, with notable wins over top-ranked bantamweight fighters such as Raphael Assuncao, Marlon Moraes, and Frankie Edgar.
Sandhagen is known for his versatile striking skills, athleticism, and ability to adapt to his opponent’s style. He trains out of Elevation Fight Team in Denver, Colorado, under the guidance of renowned coach Trevor Wittman.
As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Sandhagen held a professional MMA record of 14 wins and 3 losses, with 11 of those wins coming by way of knockout or submission. He was ranked as the #2 bantamweight contender in the UFC, behind only former champion Aljamain Sterling.
