Cody Garbrandt is a retired professional mixed martial artist from the United States who competed in the bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on July 7, 1991, in Uhrichsville, Ohio.

Garbrandt began his MMA career in 2012 and quickly gained a reputation as a powerful striker with fast hands and excellent footwork. He amassed a record of 12 wins and 3 losses as of my knowledge cutoff in 2021, with 9 of his victories coming by way of knockout.

Garbrandt’s most notable moment in the UFC came in 2016 when he defeated Dominick Cruz to win the UFC bantamweight championship. He was also awarded “Performance of the Night” honors for his dominant performance in the fight.

Garbrandt’s fighting style is often described as aggressive and powerful, with a focus on utilizing his boxing skills to finish fights. He is also known for his speed and footwork, which he uses to evade his opponents’ strikes and counter with his own attacks.
