Jason Everman is an American musician and military veteran. He is known for his association with two famous bands, Nirvana and Soundgarden, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Everman was born on August 16, 1967, in Kodiak, Alaska, and grew up in Washington State.

In 1989, Everman joined Nirvana as the second guitarist, and he played on the band’s first album, “Bleach.” However, he left the band before they achieved mainstream success. Everman then joined Soundgarden as a bassist for their 1990 tour, but he was fired from the band shortly thereafter.

Following his departure from music, Everman joined the United States Army in 1994, serving in both the Rangers and Special Forces. He deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq during his military career and earned several awards and commendations for his service.

After leaving the military in 2006, Everman went on to earn a degree in philosophy from Columbia University. He has also worked as a yoga teacher and a librarian. Despite his brief stint in the music industry, Everman remains a notable figure in the grunge scene and has continued to inspire musicians and military veterans alike.
