Galante earned a degree in biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is known for his work as a wildlife biologist, specializing in the behavior and conservation of large predators such as sharks, lions, and crocodiles. He has also led numerous expeditions around the world, studying and documenting rare and endangered species.

In addition to his scientific work, Galante has hosted several wildlife-themed television shows, including “Extinct or Alive,” which airs on Animal Planet. The show follows Galante as he travels the world in search of animals that have been declared extinct, but that he believes may still be alive.
