Maynard James Keenan is an American musician, singer, songwriter, actor, and winemaker. He was born on April 17, 1964, in Ravenna, Ohio, USA.

Keenan is best known as the lead vocalist of the bands Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. He is widely recognized for his unique and powerful voice, as well as his songwriting abilities. He is also known for his introspective and philosophical lyrics, which often explore themes such as spirituality, politics, and human nature.

In addition to his musical career, Keenan has also acted in several films, including “Crank: High Voltage,” “The Legend of Oz: Dorothy’s Return,” and “Blood into Wine,” a documentary about his winemaking endeavors in Arizona.

Keenan is the owner and winemaker of Merkin Vineyards and Caduceus Cellars, which produce a variety of wines in the Verde Valley region of Arizona.
