Brian Simpson is a contemporary smooth jazz keyboardist and composer. He was born on January 15, 1953, in Gurnee, Illinois.

Simpson began playing the piano at a young age and went on to study jazz at Northern Illinois University. He started his career as a studio musician, playing on recordings for artists such as Janet Jackson, Stanley Clarke, and Dave Koz.

In the late 1990s, Simpson began releasing his own solo albums, which featured his signature blend of jazz, R&B, and pop influences. Some of his most popular albums include “Above the Clouds,” “It’s All Good,” and “Out of a Dream.”

Simpson has also toured extensively with other jazz musicians, including George Duke, Gerald Albright, and Boney James. He has been nominated for several awards, including a Grammy Award for his work on Dave Koz’s album “Hello Tomorrow.”

Throughout his career, Simpson has been praised for his smooth and melodic playing style, as well as his ability to blend different genres of music into his compositions. He remains a popular figure in the smooth jazz world and continues to record and perform regularly.
