Dan Crenshaw is a former Navy SEAL and current Republican politician who represents Texas’s 2nd congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. He was born on March 14, 1984, in Aberdeen, Scotland, and grew up in Texas.

Crenshaw attended Tufts University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Master of Public Administration. He then served in the United States Navy as a Navy SEAL for 10 years, including multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2012, Crenshaw lost his right eye in an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) explosion while on a mission in Afghanistan, but he continued to serve in the military until he retired in 2016.

After leaving the military, Crenshaw became involved in politics and was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018. He has been a strong supporter of conservative policies and has advocated for limited government, free markets, and a strong national defense. He has also been a vocal critic of what he sees as left-wing extremism and cancel culture.

Crenshaw has been an advocate for veterans’ issues and has sponsored legislation aimed at improving mental health care for veterans and reducing veteran homelessness. He has also been an advocate for energy independence and has supported policies aimed at promoting domestic oil and gas production.

Crenshaw has gained national attention for his distinctive eyepatch, which he wears as a result of his injury in Afghanistan. He has used his platform to speak out on a variety of issues and has become a popular figure among conservatives.
