Mat Fraser is a retired American professional CrossFit athlete who was born on January 25, 1990. He is considered one of the greatest CrossFit athletes of all time, having won the CrossFit Games, the sport’s premier competition, five times in a row from 2016 to 2020.

Fraser grew up in Vermont and was a standout weightlifter in high school. He began competing in CrossFit in 2012 and quickly rose through the ranks, finishing second in the CrossFit Games in 2014, 2015, and 2016 before winning the title in 2016. He went on to win the competition every year until his retirement in 2020, earning him the nickname “The Fittest Man on Earth.”

In addition to his success in CrossFit, Fraser has also competed in weightlifting competitions and is a two-time national champion. He has been praised for his work ethic, mental toughness, and competitive spirit, and is considered a role model by many in the CrossFit community.

Since his retirement, Fraser has become an entrepreneur and is the co-founder of the fitness company HWPO (Hard Work Pays Off). He continues to be involved in the CrossFit community as a coach and mentor to other athletes.
