Yannis Pappas is a Greek-American comedian, actor, and writer. He was born on June 24, 1981, in Brooklyn, New York. Pappas began his career in comedy in the early 2000s, performing stand-up comedy in New York City clubs.

In 2010, Pappas created and starred in the Comedy Central web series “The Maurica Report,” in which he played a character named Maurica, a self-described “sexy, spicy Latina” who offered humorous commentary on current events. The series became a viral hit, and Pappas went on to create several other web series, including “In the Booth,” a behind-the-scenes look at life in a comedy club, and “Apt. C3,” a mockumentary-style series about a group of roommates in a Brooklyn apartment.

Pappas has also appeared on several television shows, including “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” “Conan,” and “The Joe Rogan Experience.” He has released two stand-up comedy specials, “Yannis Pappas: Blowing the Light” and “Yannis Pappas: Let Me Be Yannis.”

In addition to his work as a comedian, Pappas has written and produced for television, including the Comedy Central series “The Jim Gaffigan Show” and the ABC series “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.”

Pappas continues to perform stand-up comedy and produce content for his YouTube channel and social media platforms. He is known for his irreverent, observational humor and his ability to tackle controversial topics with a comedic twist.
